🕐 Day 1: Zhangjiajie Airport Arrivals & Pickup Overnight in zhangjiajie city
❶ Guests arrive in Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, greeted by the driver and then private transfer to the hotel to check into. Free & easy time on your own.

🕑 Day 2:Zhangjiajie→Fenghuang (Phoenix Ancient town) Overnight in Fenghuang
❷ In the morning, driver and guide will pick you up from Hilton Hampton Hotel to catch the high speed bullet train for Fenghuang Ancient Town from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station.

You will spend approximate an hour on the road. When the train is running on the so called cliff-side “cloud railway” which is built across mountains, you will feast the eyes with mountain peaks, beautiful rivers, deep valleys as well as sea of clouds. Enjoy it!
Upon arrival, driver is waiting at the exit of Fenghuang Ancient Town Railway Station to pick you up and take you to the hotel to check into.
Let’s use daytime to explore Fenghuang Ancient Town that is full of mystery and fascination. Through the most famous Hongqiao Art Bridge, the time-beaten East Gate Tower, the Former Residence of great writer Shen Congwen (1902-1988) and the exquisitely built Yang's Family Divine Yard, you will have a journey through time and culture.

Boat cruise on Tuo River can be another unforgettable experience. This great activity normally starts from the pier that is close to the north gate of the ancient town. By riding downstream for about 20 minutes on the most beautiful part of Tuo River, you can experience the really unique appeal of the well known Phoenix Ancient Town of China. To look from the boat, you can find the view with long rows of stilted houses on both sides of the river gorgeous and stunning.

🕒 Day 3: Fenghuang→Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon & Glass Bridge Overnight in Wulingyuan
❸ You are taken by the private car to Fenghuang Ancient Town Railway Station in the morning and then ride the high speed train for about 1 hour to get back to Zhangjiajie downtown.
In the afternoon,we will transfer to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area. The Glass Bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a must see spot to many tourists, as it is the longest glass bridge with the highest altitude in the world. The walk on the see through glass bridge can be a thrilling, daring and exciting experience. Built between two mountain cliffs, The Glass Bridge is 375 meters long, 6 meters wide and 300 meters high. It is one of the “11 Most Spectacular Bridges in The World” by CNN.

After having successfully crossed the glass bridge , you can walk down stairs to come back to the bottom of the valley and then hike about 2 hours in the Grand Canyon to enjoy its breath taking landscapes of high cliffs, lush forests, colorful streams and majestic waterfalls.
Epic things to do in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon are VR movie, zipline adventure, high speed sky slide, via ferrata and bungee jumping. 🕓 Day 4: Yellow Stone Village and Golden Whip Stream Overnight in Wulingyuan Scenic Area
❹ Visit Yellow Stone Village in the morning. The so called Yellow Stone Village is actually a square shaped plateau formed by quartz sand. It has the largest and the highest observation deck overlooking innumerous sandstone mountain peaks all over the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The scenery in Zhangjiajie is famous for danger, steepness, and uniqueness. Only by overlooking or looking horizontally from a high place can visitors feel the uniqueness and independence of each stone mountain peak clearly. Coincidently, many of the observation decks in Yellowstone Village happen to be at the same height with the opposite mountains which offers ideally horizontal angles to explore the scenic mountains and take pictures. By walking along the big loop-line on the mountaintop, you can have the world beneath your feet and all wonders from up close and afar under your eyes. This morning tour takes about 3 hours and round- trip cable car is used.

Let’s take a short break in the afternoon after lunch. Guide will then invite you to take a hike in the canyon of Golden Whip Stream which is about 7.5 kilometers long. Along the water boundary of the Golden Whip Brook lies the most beautiful and marvelous sceneries in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. By having close contacts with verdant forests, crystal clear streams, colorful pebbles, calm swimming fishes, singing birds, lovely monkeys, visitors touring in the beautiful scenery of the Golden Whip Creek feel like walking into a hidden paradise. The air of Golden Whip Creek has an indescribably refreshing sweet taste. Walking along the path with small stones while listening to the sound of the river, everyone feels really relaxed and refreshed, some may even have the feeling of oxygen addiction. The tour to Golden Whip Creek has no tough climbing involved, and all journey is made on the flat ground. Walking along the brook and stop wherever you like, visitors can finish the tour in two to three hours.

🕔 Day 5: Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve Overnight in Zhangjiajie City
❶ Taking cable car up to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve in the morning. Tianzi means the son of heaven. It got the name from Xiang Dakun, a man from the Tujia ethnic nationality who led a revolution here on this mountain under the name of son of the heaven in Song Dynasty. According to scientific research, this area was a vast ocean billions of years ago. After a long geological evolution process, rare natural landscapes were gradually formed with the West Sea Stone Forest the most prestigious. The dense stone peaks are clustered in the West Sea Stone Forest marvelously in different shapes and poses: some stand up erectly like spring bamboo shoots after rain; some stand out against the sky like millions of sharp swords; some like armed soliders standing in line; even no word can describe how gorgeous the natural landscapes here are. Imperial Writing Brush Peaks, Fairy Offering Flowers, Commander Appointment Stage and etc, such attractions in the West Sea Stone Forest Scenic Area got their names from what rocks and even mountains there have naturally formed symbols alike.

We will also take the sightseeing bus inside the park to pay a visit to the Mountaintop Rice Field, one of the top ten wonders in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. To make a living, a couple of old farmers had to spent several years and managed to develop a farmland to plant rice and vegetables on the mountain top which is surrounded by the fogs and clouds all year round. Looked afar, the farmland looks like floating in the air. Mountaintop Rice Filed is far to reach and it is less crowded, however, it has already become a hot spot to many photography enthusiasts. You will surely be amazed and delighted to see such a secret garden there.

As the most popular scenic area in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie boasts the best natural scenery which attracts countless visitors all over the world to come. Yuanjiajie is best known for the Hallelujah Mountain which was originally called as the South Pillar of Heaven. It has a special shape with the lower body and the upper body to be thin while the middle waist to be thick. Because of such a shape, it looks as if it is floating in the air when half of its bottom part is covered by the mist and rain. Hollywood director James Cameron fell in love with it at the first glance and turned it into the flating mountain in the planet Pandora in Avatar and made it a well known scenic spot to the world.

The Enchanting Stage is another a must-see. Standing here, visitors can see innumerous stone pillars rooting in deep valleys and rising above the sea of clouds. These stone pillars have really amazing shapes as if the god has split the mountain with the axe and then cut the pillar one by one with the knife to make them into the current nice shapes. Some pillars look like the sharp sword drawn out of the sheath, penetrating straightly to the sky. You can feel the power only when you come close to see them.
We will use Bailong Sky Elevator to go down from Yuanjiajie Mountains and then take the sightseeining shuttle bus to come to the park exit and ride to the downtown with the private car. Transfer back to hotel. Relax and refresh for journey of the next day.

🕓 Day 6: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park Departure
❹ Private tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel in the morning and we will then go from there to the lower cable car station to ride the cable car to go directly to the top of Tianmen Mountain. Tianmen Mountain has world's longest cable car line with one way driving distance of 7,455 meters and driving time of about half an hour. The cable car ride itself can be a thrilling and unforgettable experience to many people.

Upon arrival at the mountaintop, we will have a counterclockwise tour there to successively visit the West Line Scenic Area, the East Line Scenic Area and the Central Line Scenic Area if time allows. The West Line Scenic Area has the most breathtaking places such as the glass skywalk, Ghost Valley Plank Road which are built alongside the steep cliffs 1,400 meters above the sea level. The East Line is mainly a place to appreciate the old-growth forest and the Central Line has Tianmen Buddhist Temple which is a famous place of worship. Time on mountaintop normally takes 2 to 3 hours.

Descending from the mountaintop with the seven-segment tunnel escalator, we will then come to the Tianmen Cave or Heaven's Gate Cave from which the mountain got its current name. Tianmen Cave is a natural wonder with the length of 60 meters, width of 57 meters and height of 132 meters. As the cultural symbol of Tianmen Mountain with a mysterious aura, the Cave is a must see place to every tourist.
☝ Stairway to Heaven with 999 Steps
Leaving from Tianmen Cave, we can either walk through the Path to Heaven with 999 Steps or take the 5-segment tunnel escalator to go down to the Cave Square on the mountainside. There, there is an altar where believers can burn sticks of incense to ask for blessings from heaven.
The tour to Tianmen Mountain can be finished in normally 5 hours.
We can then transfer to the airport for departure.
