Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park has set a daily cap of 37,000 visitors that
are allowed to enter the park. Since the number of tourists continues to grow year by year, timed entry reservation and crowd control measures have been implemented to ensure safety for both tourists and natural resources.
As an independent traveler, if you are planning to visit Tianmen Mountain, it really makes sense to have the ticket pre-purchased
to avoid getting embarrassed for not being able to obtain ticket required if you purchase it on the site.

Peak Season of Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park starts on March 1st and ends on November 30th and opening hours during this time is from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and full price of ticket is CNY 278 Yuan per pax.
>On the other hand, its off-peak season is from December 1st to February 28th of the following year with opening time from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Ticket price during this time is CNY 243 Yuan per person. Note please, tourists are now flocking to Tianmen Mountain even in winter and off season tickets are no longer available for this reason.
Besides entry fee, price of ticket to Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park also covers service fees of cable car, environmentally friendly sightseeing shuttle bus as well as insurance.
However, service charge of 5-segment tunnel escalator of CNY 33 Yuan per pax, service charge of mini cable car running around the old growth forest on the mountaintop of CNY 25 Yuan per pax and shoe cover renting fee of CNY 5 Yuan per pax to walk on the glass skywalk are not included here.

Children below 12 years old with height under 120 cm are free to enter Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. The park also has special discount tickets for kids and the elderly which can be summarized as follows:
I. For children age 13 and below with height under 1.2 meters, ticket price is CNY 116 Yuan per pax.
II. For teenagers between 14 and 17 years old, ticket price is CNY 147 Yuan per pax.
III. For college students studying in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, ticket price is CNY 147 Yuan per pax.
IV. For people age 60 to 64, ticket price is CNY 147 Yuan per pax.
V. For seniors age 65 and above, ticket price is CNY 116 Yuan.

How long does a Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park ticket last? Unlike that of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, ticket to Tianmen Mountain is valid for 1 day only, meaning that you must visit Tianmen Mountain just on the date purchased for.
In addition to indicating the tour date, travelers are also required to specify the time period for entering the park. To manage tourist flow and to avoid exceeding the maximum capacity for visitors, Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park has adopted the method of diverging visitors into different groups by arranging
them with different entering times. Visitors must check in at the time of the slot that is specified to be able to enter the park. Since tickets for some certain time slots are very popular and they can be sold out very quickly, tourists who have tight travel schedules are strongly advised to reserve their tickets in advance.
Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park is available for tourists from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm in the following time slots:

II: 08: 00-09: 00;
III: 09: 00-10: 00;
IV: 10: 00-11: 00;
V: 11: 00-12: 00;
VI: 12: 00-13: 00;
VII: 13: 00-14: 00;

There are 3 routes and 2 lines to go up and down Tianmen Mountain. Tourists are required to choose one among them in ticket reservation and purchasing procedures.
The 3 routes, including Route A, Route B and Route C, use round-trip cableway while the 2 lines, including Line 1 and Line 2, use one-way cableway. Comparing to the 3 Routes, the 2 Lines have less comfortable travel experience and they are not favored by most visitors. In
the following, we mainly tell you the difference among Route A, Route B and Route C to help you to make the choice by your own.

Once your tickets have been reserved, we will send you with e-tickets with QR codes on it. Visitors can then print them or download the electronic tickets to their mobile phones and etc. and then scan the QR code at the automatic ticket gate to check in. Remember to enter the park in the time slot you reserved for, otherwise, you may be rejected.

Tickets are now sold maximum 30 days in advance and you are advised to contact us at least 3 days in advance in low season, 7 days in advance in shoulder season or 14 days in advance in peak season to make sure it has tickets available for you.
